The University of Macau

The University of Macau is a public university in Macau. It is formerly known as the University of East Asia (1981-1991). The campus was on Taipa Island but moved to the Hengqin Island of Guangdong province in 2013. The current campus is connected to Taipa Island through a tunnel and is accessible by public transportation of Macau. The university has seven faculties (Arts and Humanities, Business Administration, Education, Health Sciences, Law, Science and Technology, and Social Sciences), a graduate school, six research institutes and centers, and three state key laboratories. Ten residential colleges accommodate around 5,000 students from all around the world.
